SPRING 2010
Spring has sprung…
we think!
Oh what a winter we have had! Cold, snow and ice have been the order of the day for the whole country without a break, with those of you with boats on hard standing struggling to catch up on lost time and be ready for the new season. If anyone thinks they won’t be ready to go in on the date we have it’s not a problem, just call into the office and we will arrange another for you.
With a bit of luck the hard winter will herald a glorious summer for us all with a great time being had by all.
A warm summer evenings, good glass of vino, a few bangers on the barbie and a yarn with friends new and old putting the world to rights.
What could be better?
BRING IT ON !

New Tariff
The new tariff, beginning April 1st 2010 has now been finalized. The new tariff is on display on the notice board, in the marina office or alternatively you can view it on our website www.tingdene.net
New Contracts
As mooring fees become due, a new contract will be sent for you to sign. There will also be sections that may be blank i.e. mobile number, emergency contacts and insurance details. Please fill in the blanks and return to the office so our database is as accurate as possible.
Free Boat Lifts
You will be pleased to hear that this offer has been carried over from last year but we must remind you that lifts must be taken between 1st April and 30th September 2010. Lifts cannot be carried over to next season and if not used will be forfeited. To qualify for this offer your mooring fees must be paid by the due date.

Keep Secure
The safety of your property is always paramount for marina staff but there is only so much we can do.
Please ensure that all valuables are put out of sight and under lock and key. Mark your property with your postcode and please do not put keys in your gas locker. There is secure key storage at the office if you care to use it. If you see anything out of the ordinary, please report it, or call the police.
Free Sea Check
You may like to take up the offer from the RNLI for a free safety check giving advice on all aspects of boating at sea. Call into the office for a leaflet or email on seasafety@rnli.org.uk or ring 0800 328 0600.
Wildlife Bonus
For those of you who like to watch the wildlife you will be thrilled to hear that we have otters on or around the marina. A dog otter was spotted in the bad weather running to and from the main river so keep an eye out for him. He seems very confident and not afraid of humans, quite happy to eat his dinner in full view, so you may catch a peek and even a picture if you are quick enough. Good luck!

Brundall Motor Yacht Club
If you are still undecided about whether to join the club, why not pop along to see what they are all about? A warm welcome is assured for all the family with children and dogs always welcome. They organise trips out, fun evenings, live bands, Santa at the children’s Christmas party and lots more.
It is £50 for a family membership for the year so it’s very good value for money.
Dogs on the marina
You and your pets are always very welcome on the marina but not so the little gifts that they leave behind. Please be a responsible pet owner and clear up after your pooch.
Yachts
A few complaints have been received about rigging left loose on yachts and creating a din at night for berth holders staying on their moorings. Can you please ensure that rigging is tied off tight? Many thanks.
Waste Compound
Please can you ensure that waste oil is poured into the tank provided? Once the residue has been disposed of into the waste oil tank, please could you also wash out the container before putting it into the skip? No electrical goods or small batteries are to be put into the waste bins please, as this could lead to fines. If you have items for sale we do have a free ‘FOR SALE‘ window at the office.
New Gate Cards
New gate cards are ready for collection from the office. We are also giving you the option of having your code for each month sent to you via text message. If you would like to receive the code via text, please e-mail the marina at brundallbaymarina@tingdene.net with the mobile number(s) you would like them sent to. We also have car stickers for everyone which will denote to staff that you are a berth holder and should flag up any car parked on the marina without permission.
Leads and Hoses
Please ensure that all leads are tucked away tidily and safely and not hanging in the water. Likewise with hoses, so staff can see that a tap has not been left running and the hose is not causing a tripping hazard.
Your Thoughts?
It is very important for us to have your input on matters in and around the marina. So, if you have any ideas or thoughts on the current facilities or what you would like to see for the marina in the future please email:
